This beautiful gown is probably the single most popular gown in the entire musical. It's truly a classic Victorian piece. For the original London premiere, seen in both photos on the right hand side of this page, the silk used was specially woven, making an exact pattern match impossible. As can easily be seen in the bottom two photos, even between productions the fabrics used differ, and sometimes even the colors for trim. In the left, purple is used, whereas in the right, it's blue. On the overskirt in the left, the fabric at the bottom is gathered, whereas it's knife-pleated in the photo to the right. Unless otherwise requested, I will try to match the London production.
This gown in four parts: the bodice, skirt, over skirt, and bustled skirt.
