Christine's Slave Girl Costume
Please do NOT attempt to use real pointe shoes without training. I recommend pointe shoes only for trained dancers. Pointe work is complex and, even with proper training, it can result in injuries including broken ankles. If you desire the look, you can buy satin ballet slippers and attach ribbons, or I can supply these for you. Slippers will be from Capezio, not made by me.

Of all the stage versions of Phantom of the Opera costumes, I do believe this one has the most continuity.
The bodice, lightly boned, is made of red and green velvets, which always reminds me of Christmas. Golden chains make up the drapes around the arms. Gold trim decorates the vertical seams and the top and bottom of the corset-like top. Jewels are also used for the top and bottom panels on the front center. Silky cord, beads, and chain are used to make the skirt.
