Christine's Don Juan Gown
This costume is made of a boned underbust corset in a burgundy floral brocade over a sheer white lace camisole with thick lace straps loose enough to fall off the shoulder seductively. The corset is trimmed at the bottom with gypsy-coin trim, similar to that seen on belly-dance costumes. The skirt is bias-cut silk chiffon sewn together with the seam allowance on the right side rather than inside, and left raw. When cut on the bias, it will not fray. Single flat gold sequins are scattered throughout the skirt. A sheer hip scarf with a metallic gold swirl pattern completes the ensemble. A silk rose hair pin is included.
To achieve the same look, a second corset underneath all of this is needed. Without one, the top will be too sheer to wear to events outside the home. If desired, I can line the camisole for more coverage instead.
