Christine's Mirror/Dressing Ensemble
The highlight of this sensual ensemble
is the beautiful robe. Made of a
semi-sheer crinkle gauze, it is
embellished with lace and some very
tiny pink silk roses. Look very closely
in the photo to the right to see them
around the neckline.
A floral-patterned jaquard corset,
sprinkled with flat irridescent sequins,
rests over a lace chemise trimmed with
soft pink ribbon.
The long skirt is French chantilly lace and is also sprinkled with the irridescent sequins. The standard version skirt will not have sequins.

This deluxe version is one of my favorite things I've made. The gauze is wonderfully cool and airy, and the sequins catch every bit of light and reflect it back like crystal. The original robe didn't have a closure, and neither does this one. However a pink satin robe closes it beautifully without actually adding anything to the robe. Untie it, toss it aside, and no trace is left behind. For practicality, the long train was made with a bustle without compromising the ethereal qualify of the back.
