Making of a Titanic Flying Gown
The velvet for the tunic still needs to be purchased, and then this gown should come together in no time. So far I have the lapels and the skirt's panel completed. To be fair, since I haven't yet worked out my embroidery machine, I did have to send out blocks of fabric to have someone else do the embroidery for these. So I can't claim credit for the embroidery of this set. The rest, however, will be by my hand
Here is the satin for the skirt and the velvet for the tunic. Unfortunately it's hard to photograph well at night. The satin refelcted too much light anf the velvet didn't reflect enough! This isn't the final product, so I'm not concerned about perfect, pretty pictures.
